Recently, a delegation from the Higher Defence Management Course (HDMC), India visited the Defence Academy (DefAc).
HDMC is a 10-month course delivered by the College of Defence Management (CDM) in Secunderabad. During their International Strategic Management Tour week, the course visited multiple MOD institutions in the UK.
During their visit to DefAc, they were given overviews and briefings on:
➡️the UK’s approach to Professional Military Education taught at DefAc
➡️the UK’s approach to doctrine, including an overview of what the Development, Concepts and Doctrine Centre does, who it operates with and how it contributes to NATO and other partners’ doctrine
➡️military capability development and integration by the Defence College for Military Capability Integration
On the visit, Group Captain KG Manoj said:
“There is a great opportunity for collaboration between the College of Defence Management, Secunderabad, India and the Defence Academy of the UK in various fields, especially, in leadership & strategy and capability & acquisition. The CDM delegation has benefitted from the visit, with it adding great value to each member of the delegation, professionally and personally.”
