Higher Command and Staff Course (HCSC) 24 members, staff and supporting academics recently visited the Republic of Korea (ROK).
The instructive visit provided valuable insights into the Korean War (1950-53) including visits to key locations and battlefields, helping them to gain a deeper understanding of the War and the key military decisions that affected its outcome.
During their time in ROK the course visited:
◻️UN Cemetery Busan
◼️Broughton’s point, Busan
◻️ROK cemetery, Daejon
◼️Various points critical to the Battle of the Imjin River
◻️The Gloster Memorial Park
◼️Joint Chiefs of Staff (ROK)
◻️UN Command, Camp Humphreys
◼️DMZ
The visit helped to prepare future strategic leaders for higher command and staff appointments across defence and environment, this is the key aim for HCSC.
The next HCSC course will start in January 25.
